School is out and the summer holidays are in full swing, the campsite is getting full and there are lots of people around enjoying the beautiful countryside around Llanthony. We have welcomed some new additions to the yard recently, Tom now owns four hens, all different breeds and all very friendly and beautiful – more importantly they provide lots of eggs to keep up the guides’ energy levels!
It’s the Llanthony Valley and District Show on Saturday 7th August where there will be lots of fun for the whole family – the local community holds this annual event at Court Farm which showcases the best the valley can offer. There are livestock and showing classes for horses, a produce tent where there are prizes for flowers, vegetables, eggs and all sorts of arts and crafts, show jumping, gymkhana, children’s races, a fell running race, dog shows and races, pony rodeo (for the very brave!) and lots more to see and do. Why not take time to visit the ice cream van, the beer tent and the fish & chip van, it’s all really yummy!
Join us on Saturday but allow plenty of time to get here as the road in to the valley will be busy!
Love from Karen and all at Court Farm
