Our annual staff day out to Rhossili Bay on the Gower was much fun – reminding us all of how fantastic is it to have a day out on horseback! Lucky ponies enjoyed it too, especially our golden oldie.. Murphy.
International Supreme Champions
Our very own Kelly and Tom’s homebred gelding, Llanthony Erehwon, take the ultimate accolade being named the best trekking horse in the world 2012. As if this wasn’t celebration enough we also took home International Reserve Supreme with Katie riding another of Tom’s homebred horses, Llanthony Lady Krayaani. Bean and L’aani are both grandchildren of the incredible Penny. Well done all involved!
The day of the local show is approaching, Saturday 4th Aug 2012, fingers crossed for some dry weather!
Fun for all the family on the show’s 50th celebrations, for more info please visit their website www.llanthonyshow.co.uk
Please note that there will be no trekking that day as we will be competing for title of “Best Trekking Pony”
Karen’s here again
Karen is back riding with us after some time away from the stables following foot surgery, nothing horse related you’ll be pleased to hear, and all healed!
Congratulations are in order too as she is now engaged to Chris Canner, wedding date set for Oct 2013.
Don’t forget to find us on facebook and twitter for regular news from everyone here at Llanthony.
Mountain riding has been more extreme so far this season due to our ever changing Welsh weather. Some fabulous hot days have left us in blissful serenity, only to delve into the atmospheric drama as the storm clouds roll in.
Our team of old and new faces are working well together and enjoying everyone’s company. See Molly leading a trek on top of Hatterall Hill, riding Sugar.
